Did we lose out on the eBay axe? :(

Red is hot bro...esp. on a quilt. See my EVH sig for a good look:

And, no I'm not selling. ;)

Also, some images I came across on my hard drive, my 2 Axes that I had before "downgrading" to the EVH:

(bought June 2002, sold February 2003 to fund my previous purple EVH...norm is the proud owner of that case, btw. 'tis how we met previous to the inception of these boards...)

(bought February 2002, sold in December 2002 in order to acquire my red EVH)

No, it's not for sale, but it should give you some idea of what the potential of a Cherry-Burst finish is. I always liked the turquiose color on the Axis, especially when combined with a nice loose quilt top. Looks like Megans Bay in St. Thomas. Vintage Sunburst is also a pretty neat color too.

OC, you'll notice that if you look at the teal again, the body is darker than the headstock. I PS'ed the body to get a more accurate picture on the computer screen as to what I saw with my eye. (too lazy to mess with the headstock) But, yeah, that's what she looked like.

And 2 months after I sold her, the cat that bought 'er was not pleased with her (he was on that "quest"), and offered her back to me at a discounted price, but me sans bread to pull it off... :(

I have a vintage sunburst in the axis and its brilliant, quilt, rosewood board, people always comment on how awesome it looks, it looks like a custom paul with the quilt and the binding, but I really like the tobacco burst as well, they are such classy looking finishes -

I'm not sure I'm following ya, ska...the first BIG body shot that you see is my ACTUAL EVH, with the tone knob. The other two FULL shots are both Axis models, and they both have volume knobs, as all Axis models do. I think you're confusing my EVH with the other two.

That, or I could be missing something completely blatant (wouldn't be the first time...LOL!)

Tobacco burst is awesome....I saw and played kbaim's in San Diego and that is one sweet looking finish with the quilt. That would be my suggestion, but, they all look nice in quilt. Quilt tops are my favorite and I haven't seen any colors offered by EBMM in quilt that I did not like. So, you can get what you want and it will rock! But, I happen to like the tobacco burst myself.....my 2 pennies.

uh huh huh....you're a flamer...that's cool.... LOL!

EVH, to answer your concern, the build your own only has a certain amount of images. Just because it isn't shown doesn't always mean that it isn't available. You want the best, most accurate information? Give them good folks at EBMM a call on Monday - 1.800.543.2255, and talk at Dan in Sales. He's a good guy I've dealt with before. He'll get you all of the 411 and shizzat that you need (pardon my minor spurt o' urban-ness there LOL!)

As far as changing your mind back to red, etc. -- how about: go with red, or I ban you? :p

Later...
