Desert Gold or Medallion Gold for Shamus?

Okay, Medallion Gold or Desert Gold for my new Bongo purchase?

DAMMIT i picked the wrong one dude. i was gonna vote for medaillion golod but accidentally put desert gold ... so when this is all done steal a point from desert and toss it into the medallion bucket

so i "voted" for medallion gold cuz thats what im getting on mh HS Sterling

Hmmm, I've recently fallen in love with Desert Gold... on StingRays.

Seeing as how it's a Bongo and there are a billion and four DG Bongo's out there (I counted) go with medallion, it'll look priceless.

That fretless Bongo must sound awesome! The Teal one from the OH gave me the idea of getting a FL back into the fold again...having only heard it through the headphones!

Don't know if you saw these, but I posted more pics of mine late yesterday afternoon...

There's something you should know about those photos (and photos of DG in general)....if you let the camera decide on the white balance (esp. with a tort guard), it tends to come out warmer and redder than if you manually calibrate the camera. The clue is in the background...I photographed my bass against black velvet, and you can clearly see reddish highlights on most of the shots.

One of the shots in that album (it's clearly identified) has been calibrated, more or less.

DG isn't as hard to photograph as some of the finishes, but so many of these things look much better in person than they do in pictures....

The Desert Gold photographs well, no matter what the camera or PhotoShop does to the picture. There was a B5 DG at GC in SF when I first went shopping for the Bongo, and even in flourescent lighting, it kicked as$!

I see that the polls went from 2:1 (DG > MG) to near neck-and-neck...might be a tight race here.

Do not make me the tie-breaker!
