Desert Gold?

Hey all,

While I'm patiently waiting for my Desert Gold Petrucci to come in, can someone post pics of a Pet in this color?

I've only found very few so far. I just noticed that in Pete's current post, he's got a pic of one in Lava Pearl, but it looks eerily similar to other pics of Desert Gold.

Can anyone who's seen both tell me, are they pretty close in color? I'm suessing the Lava Pearl is more red, whereas the Deset Gold is more orange?

Anyone?

There is a thread from a year or so ago that has people's JP pics... my DG 7 string is in there...

Pics do not do them justice. It is a stunning color in person to be sure.

Oh, the comparison....

LP is more orangeish red and the DG is more Yellowish orange. both of them have the same yellow shift in them. I would just more simply state that DG is light orange and LP is dark orange. Thier names suggest a lot.... Lava and ... well, not so much desert I gues.. LOL... Lava and the sun.

Hey, Ernie1966, that DG is beautiful! Ever take any outside pics with it, you know, with the sun shining down on it? Man between that one and a new Y2D, my GAS is acting up again!

I need to print out some of these pictures of multiple guitars... and keep them handy when I get accused of having too many guitars. I have two electric guitars and two acoustic/electric guitars. I have a back up for each of my Main guitars..... thanks for giving me EBMM ENVY!
