DOB + please!

DOB + please! (Oh, and I've got pics up, too!)

Looking for the DOB for my new (to me) Silhouette, serial number 92205. And is there any way to determine what the body wood is? I thought the spec on the early Silhouettes was Alder, but this really looks like Ash to me...

Dude! That Ax is gorgeous! Where did you find a 6 bolt in such good shape? Whatever. Now you can be spoiled by 24 frets and more pup selections. Welcome to the dark side. JimiD is catching up fast with his seventh MM but Norm is still in the lead with eight

Thanks Norm! It is a sweet axe - not in quite as good condition as it looks in the pics, but well cared for. You can tell that it's been gigged - the case is pretty ripe with tavern-induced smells, the frets are worn (but recently dressed - plenty of life left), the fretboard is showing signs of wear here and there and there's a few nicks and chips in the finish, but it's all good... This guitar has been well played and well loved and I'm lucky to have the chance to play it myself now... This one really "rings like a bell" - I just love the sound of good wood!!
