I have a chance of moving on another brand bass and getting this SR5.
to you does it look like a stock p/up? I haven't ever seen or noticed the groove/indendation that runs between the coils on the cover,just had a look in the picture gallery and couldnt see any close ups of what the single H SR5 one look like
I'd hate to get an SR5 and have a non MM pickup in it

that looks more like a flaw in the pickup... because it doesnt run all the way from the g to the b string... they only real way to tell is to ask to see more pics of the pickup (outside the bass)

it is stock , i have exact same bass, same color ,maple neck the pickup looks exactly the same with line in the middle , i bought mine brand new from n,j. guitar and bass, who are MM. dealer in "95 the bass is actually a 94.
