Hey folks,
Have been away from the forum for a while. Been playing my Bongo to death and loving every minute of it. It gets better and better. What an amazing guitar.
I have a question however. Quite a lot of songs that I am learning are done with the E string dropped to D and was wondering if MM do a switchable machine head so you can change tuning without affecting the guitar. I know there are aftermarket machine heads available, but I was wondering if we Bongoists could retrofit straight onto an existing guitar. Failing that I might just have to get another Bongo and have the E string permanently tuned to D:)

Hipshot BT1 Short Key or Hipshot BT13

Depending on your model of Bongo, you'll either need the;

or the Hipshot BT13

Thanks for the response buddy. Looks like mine will be the BT13. The tuning lug is identical to the one on my Bongo.
