Schallers, Dunlops or stock?

I like Schaldops. The stock ones.

There's no "other" choice. I don't even know what you call them, but I've used them for years. Just a little leather strap with a regular button on it and another leather piece with a button hole in it to lock the strap. You remove the stock strap button and replace it with this thing. Simple, low tech, cheap, fool proof and reccomended by Carl Perkins!

I voted for Schallers. I've never used the Dunlops. Bought the Schallers first, they worked, didn't see a reason to try anything else.

Started out with Schallers in 1985 when I got them as a gift from guitar player buddy who watched in horror as my bass fell from my strap during the gig. "Here, I think you need these," he said. Been using them on all my basses ever since.

By the way, I hate the sound a plugged-in bass makes when it crashes to the floor.

I voted Schaller since that is all I have ever used. They work good nuff.

I'm a Schaller guy. That's all I've ever used, too. I've never tried the Dunlops.

Dunlop! Schallers are just toooooo wierd.

Dunlops here because they were on a bass I bought a long time ago and I've never seen any reason to dislike them.

Had there been Schallers on that bass so long ago, I'd probably be in the other camp.

If it works, then it works.

I used Dunlops in the 80s, but I like the Schallers better these days. The Dunlaps seem to put more leverage on the strap button and the button digs into the wood over time; never had that problem with Schallers.
