I dont know if this has been posted here before, but this seller claims that the original retail value of this guitar is $2789, and it doesn't have the peizo, or custom inlays. Is there anything about the color that makes this guitar so expensive??

He said full Music Man warranty....Guess what? Nope! I've said it before...Take ebay claims with a grain of salt people.

Price was way out there........I don't believe he paid that. But, I could be wrong. My 2 pennies.

The guy said the RETAIL price. Now, the MSRP (Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price) for that guitar may well be $2500 or so.. esp. if there was an upcharge for that finish. But the 'street' price is always *significantly* lower than MSRP with guitars.

In fact, I find that you can usually get guitars for about 50% of the MSRP. Now that is unscientific, but check EBMM MSRP's and also Charvel, for example.

It's a shame he's asking top $$$ due to the finish, yet he's got that pea-sized defect in the finish. Go figure.

Just to point out....I got a JP-7 in Blue Dawn w/ piezo and inlays.....bought from the original owner and paid way way less than what dude is asking.....that is why I said the price was ridiculous..........this "Rare" paint thing will only cause some poor unsuspecting dude to pay too much money for a guitar because someone said it is the "Rare Blue Dawn Color"......
