Ebay scam!!!!!!

Yeah, that's pretty lame. If you're sure it's your pic then I'd contact eBay and they'll probably pull the auction.
 
I saw the same thing with a Wolfgang guitar not that long ago. And the real auction was still running!!! The person doing to fake auction had an Ebay account for about 2 months, and all his feedback (which was only 6-8) was from people with accounts that were created around the same time. I imagine the 2 bids on this particular one are shill bids. Buyer beware takes on a whole new meaning in the 21st century. Man....

Report this person immediately, email the "bidders" and explain to them what this person has done and that he has been reported and is under investigation. If this is in fact "shill bidding", than you will have made this A-hole aware that you're on to him and have notified authorities. If not, than you may have just saved someone 14k.

Something simular happened to me and I was able to contact an eBay representative "live" online for assistance. It was sorta like an IM chat line.
The representative was ble to help me out and shut the auction down immediately.

I sent him an email. I love playing games with these people. Usually they are from Europe or Africa. So they have no idea who DLR is. After I get a response to this one then the fun starts.

Total scam. Why would someone end the auction early for $1100 cash when the current bid is $14,100!!!

One of the classics signs of a bogus auction is when seller offers to end the auction early if you send them cash while offering free shipping. On that same vain is someone who's interested in ending the auction early and wants you to send the money through Western Union or some escrow service that's not legit.

I emailed him about stopping by to see the guitar and possibly buy it from him. I got a response from him that he had moved to the UK and if I wanted the guitar he would end the auction early for $1200 and he would cover shipping from the UK. He would only do a Western Union transfer. I emailed back asking if he would do $1100. I'm going to keep messing with him for a while.

My eBay policies:

Protecting my perfect feedback rating is more
important than saving a few bucks.
I always try to buy from a seller who has a perfect
rating also. If they have been a conscientious seller then
they will probably be a conscientious feedback giver also.

Two extreme examples of what I consider good and poor service are these:

Awesome seller with 15814 sales @ 100% (guitar stuff!!)

and

Mr. bigtime loser with 4000+ negatives

When I'm considering a buy I also read feedback given.

This loser who's tryin' to sell a guitar with 0 feedback and no paypal
is a scammer who's easy to spot .
But I'm afraid that eBay won't stop this auction.
Spotting scams is the eBay communities job.
But proving it's a scam to eBay is very, very difficult (and sometimes impossible).

Did you know that air guitars and warts are sold on eBay??? :eek:
