I just want to take a few minutes to just say how amazing these basses sound, especially in a band setting. Playing alone is one thing, many people obsess about finding that perfect solo practicing tone.. but man, with a band, even just my drummer. Once there is ambient noise in the room, these things really shine. I pop in my ear plugs for practice and all i can hear is the beautiful tone that is coming from my Sterling (and ashdown/avatar setup). It is so warm and perfect. Its hard to express how content it makes me :) Just wanted to share that after over a year of playing my sterling i am still 100% in love with it, which hasnt happened before with any other basses. Ive never owned 2 basses from the same brand for that very reason, but i definitely think EBMM has the tone for me.

Figgy, youre spot on. Just played the Autumn Redburst Ray5 and am so pleased with every aspect of that bass. Ive had many come through my hands and all the EBs are great, but that SR5 is special.

BACK TO EBMM love! :

I love my 3 EBMM girls, had baby (92 sr5) since early 93 and I still love her as much today as I did the day I got her. She has a birthday this month, 2-20-1992 was her DOB.

Next month I celebrate the 17th b-day of the SR5 fretless blubeast 3-30-89

and my SUB 5 is gonna be 3 in october I believe!

I love my girls, I could'nt imagine life without um! ;)

When I'm gigging, I love the way my 'Ray cuts through the mix...like a hot knife through butter. :D

...Yes, a very important feature of MMs... I also enjoy the percussive nature of the sound that's trademark MusicMan! :p :p :p

Mmm, yes. My Bongo has been great to me this month. Every month since I've had it, really. Such a great tone!

I'll play, almost 1.5 yrs in and I'm still as pleased with my 2 band 'Ray as the day I got it. Good stuff indeed...

I thought taht too but i heard its got a slightly different sound than just keeping a 3 band with mids at middle, forget what was diff though

I haven't put my order in for my HH SR5 yet. Hope to be doing that sometime this month.

The anticipation is eating at me...

Andrew
It gets worse after you order it ;)
