They renamed it the Axis.

They didn't stop making it. The business arrangement between Music Man and EVH ended, the EVH continued in a modified form as the Axis.
Unfortunately, these threads eventually revert to rumours and innuendo regarding the MM/EVH story and as a result we lock them down. Sorry! You'll find many answers by searching through the forum archives and reading Big Poppa's blog and forum posts.
