The guitarist in one of bands that I play in owns a recording studio and uses an HD_500 to record most of the bass tracks there.I can ask him to bring it to rehearsal next week and do a direct comparison with the 1001RBII through 2 Neo 2x12's and a Stringray 4/5

PM sent Randismo.

I seem to remember seeing a post by BP that urged to try it with the matching speakers. I guess it's tuned to sound best with the Audiophile speakers.

I've never played through one, but it sounded great at the Open House!

The sound at Open House was incredible - it looked like a biamp set up with the EBMM and I want to say an SWR - but again there was too much beer involved so don't listen to me ;)

I'm almost positive the HD-500 was running straight into the two Audiophile cabs, not biamped. I think the SWR head wasn't ever hooked up.

If that is the case the sound was hellacious (the little red SWR did look a bit out of place  ). HD500, a couple EBMM cabs and a Bongo H - what a package!!!
