Bought one of these last week (h-s-s) and am really happy with it, especially as my last guitar was a mex strat with floyd rose!

Anyhow, I have a couple of questions about this guitar:

Firstly, what is the best way to clean/maintain the neck? I guess it is different to normal guitars due to the finish?

Secondly, is there any way of evening out the p/u volumes. I know humbuckers are usually louder due to their design, but I find that the difference in levels between my humbucker and the other 2 pickups is quite noticeable to the point that I have to turn down the guitar volume quite a bit when using the bridge p/u.

Finally, how can you tell when the battery needs replacing? Also, does this active pickup design prevent inteference from CRT monitors?

Thanks,
ben m

they actually have the specific direction of cleaning and maintainence in the "FAQ's" but i just wash my hands before playing, if the neck and fretboard gets dirty you can use a small ass amount of lemon oil to clean it. don't do it more than 2-3 times a year at most though. and once a year i rub on a small amount of gunstock wax to seal the neck. they also say you can use murphy's oil soap if it gets extremely dirty. for cleaning the body i use a high grade car polish and hand buff it.

I own one as well and with the stock pups it the volume was pretty even, so tht would led me to assumes that adjusting the pup heights will help with that, but it will change the tone each pup is putting out as well, it might help the sound but pup height does change the sound and volume at the same time, so give that a try, and about cleaning the neck, I actually never play with dirty hands any I have nevr ever cleaned a neck and I have 3 MM guitars, but a tiny bit of lemon oil will clean it up, use the clear stuff -
