Factory string gauges on the JP-6

Does the JP-6 come with a 0.09 - 0.42 strings? or are they thicker?

Are there any problems with fatter strings regarding the saddle?

I am almost certain it's a standard .010 guage set; .010-.046.

I've been running standard .010's on my JP7 for years, not a single issue.

The John Petrucci 7-string guitar uses RPS-10's with an added .56 nickelwound for the low B string. A suitable replacement set is the #2621 7-String Regular Slinky set (10-56).

Unless you prefer to use a different gauge!

I use Super Slinky's on my Pet's as I'm too weak and lazy to bend those nasty old 10's!

Oh yeah of course! I was just trying to equate the string gauge with an EB product. I can never remember numbers for the life of me!

Probably just more complimentary to the overall tone as designed. Similar to the difference in body woods with the 90's being ash and the hums basswood.
