those can be refinished correct? i know ebmm dosent do it but they can be refinished as far as the stain redone.

I think it's a shame that this has happened to so many of these guitars.

I have a real yearning for a nice trans purple at the moment.

Does/did the Axis ever come in this colour?

The body? Yes. But the faded headstock is trickier though. You can not refinish it without stripping/altering the decals and it’s impossible to obtain the decals from EBMM…
 
no but i doubt sterling gets mad as much about decals that are made when refinishing a ebmm guitar. its the people that put them on olp's and such. just like brent's striped one. its a aftermarket decal but its on a ebmm not a olp.

you are right, my striped EVH is an authentic EBMM EVH...i have the neck plate to prove it!:D
 
yeah i know buddy just wanted to say that i doubt bp gets mad about decals when using them on a actual ebmm and not a olp or something like that. that would piss me off to.
 
i love all the faded evh guitars i dont know why exactly maybe it is because each one is unique but everytime i see one on ebay its a struggle not to hit the bin.
