Finally got myself a Stingray!

Well its not brand new, but its all mine! I've wanted a Stingray for something like 20 years... but for some reason I never got one. Anyway now I have one and I'm loving it.

I've always liked the looks of tort pickguards with rosewood fingerboards so I think I'm going to swap that out. Can anyone help me with finding a black pup cover to go with it? I've searched everywhere and can't find anything.

I believe you can purchase a pickguard from EBMM customer service.

If I recall correctly, the PU's do not have covers. I believe what we usually think of as a PU cover is an integral part of the PU on these basses.

Heck, mine may be trans red and have a maple board but yes, white pearl is the way to go. Don't go black pearl like I did for a while.

I havent liked the idea of having a white pearl pickguard on my maple-necked trans-orange until I saw your bass Doc, I realize now that I can do it but I'll need a white pickup cover to finish it with that oh so special touch.

Dr Stankface your bass does look great with either... I'm kinda partial to the black pearl though... with a black pup cover it would be perfect. I guess I'm just a weirdo going against the flow. Hehehe.

I'm still getting used to a 5-string. I've always had a 4 string J-bass, and thought about an SR4 but I really wanted the 5er. I'm glad I got it!
