I saw a local player here today with a floyded EBMM Silo..maple neck and 24 frets..but I didn't see this as an option on line.. any help or details.. I would LOVE one..as in I NEED one!
Thanks,
Kev

A couple of more questions for those in the know and around here longer than I...
Would buying a Silo and then modding it with a Floyd be frowned upon???.. What year(s) was this an option?
Reason I ask is that my Petrucci is a PHENOMENAL instrument.. has taken the place as my number one since aquiring it..I'm really feeling the need for the EB feel with a maple board and a floyd..
Thanks in advance.

Frowned upon? nah... ridiculously expensive and ripe for disaster? Hell ya!

They started putting Floyds on the Silhouette a couple years after it's introduction - say around 1987 - and it continued as an option until 1995, I believe...

Hey Mail2Jackbutler,
I have a silo with a floyd that'll be heading out the door shortly. Fantastic axe, just that the floyd disrupts my already shabby technique. I've got some pics up here:

Drop me a line/PM if you're interested!
