For The Love Of God No!!!!!!!

Derek, Brian Ed isn't a authorized dealer is he? *bites nails*

He is not an authorized dealer...Axis EVH model??
I thought Eminem was the real Shadey...HMMMM

So I went to the websight and browsed around a bit. I was stunned when I saw the quilt top petrucci body. There was a phone number listed so I called. He said they could knock off anything. I asked about a quilt top silo. He said he could do easy for about $600. I asked if the guitars he was selling as EBMM's were infact EBMM. He said no, we build them here. I even asked if the logo's shown on the websight were put on the guitars. Again the answer was, "no, we don't put the logo's on them." I asked about the one on ebay to which he replied, It's just something I put up there to get rid of because I wouldn't sell it to one of my customers.

Ed is a P.O.S. after what he did to Gene Baker I wouldn't do business with him if he was the ONLY person I could get a guitar from.

whatever happend with the whole Ed and gene baker thing? i just always knew he was a fat arrogant POS before i heard of this thing. i've said it before that some of his guitars look awesome, but you should read the reviews of people who actually buy them. one guys said his Nj b.c. rich totally killed it it was so crappy.

Ok so I'm a little slow.

Your telling me that guitar is fake!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You think your buying an EB and this guy sends you a guitar he made in his shed????!!!???!!

no i think thats a real EBMM but he said he put it up cause he wouldn't sell it to any of his customers *saying it wasn't good enough* you'll come to realize over time ED is really fat pile of crap and a A$$hole to talk to. he gets mad and hangs up on his customers that put $3000 down on a guitar and they call to see its progress. i called once asking about LSR tuners and the B*tch on the phone told me to call back they were going to lunch. he's really a shady peice of crap i hope he hits it big in jail some day.

The guitar is legit...the story I was told is that he "obtained" it in an inventory aquisition, along with the other Axis and a Petrucci.

He is a sleazy little dude and can not be trusted.

Yeah, he kind of reminds me of some of the people that I worked with when I was developing computer games. Not so much the developers, but more like some of our clients.

That beind said, I don't know Ed at all, and everything I know about him I have heard in this thread and in his Ebay "Manifesto". He does make a good point in his rant. Do your research on what you buy. If you spend $1500 on a guitar that is actually only worth about $800, unless someone held you at gun point, the only person who made you bid that high was you. Now it ther buy now price is $1500, you know that they are trying to screw with you. But that doesn't force you to buy it.

I have seen people on Ebay give pretty unfair negative reviews to people because they overbid their item. Especially people buying items not because they want them, but for some kind of investment purpose. So if Ed is a jerk, and wants to sell his stuff for way more than it is worth, don't buy from him. But unless he misleads you as to the condition or validity of the item, don't blame him if two days later you see virtally the same guitar going for $500 cheaper.

Oh well, I don't know why I wrote this, I guess I just hope people that buy stuff online know their part in the transaction as well as the seller. Sellers can suck, but so can buyers. Ok, I guess I am done.

Again I am not standing up for Ed, I just think he made a pretty good point that I have never really thought of before.

I'm constantly amazed that folks will pay more for a used item on ebay, than I can get the same item for brand new, simply by doing a Google search.

"Let the buyer beware". I have had well over 100 transactions on eBay and have not been ripped off yet (hopefully I'm not jinxing myself). Although I did get a very dirty Epiphone LP with 3 year old strings on it. The thing is that the guitar cleaned up nicely and is a decent guitar now.

You can run into crudballs anywhere, there just more anonymous on the web.

ok so do i have this right ?
he has the axis for sale, but if you want he can make you a replica ?

Yea, from what I heard he believes any guitar he makes is superior to anything made by a guitar company. I have also heard stories of him trying to sell people his replica guitars as the real thing. I don't know if all the stories are true but I would defintely avoid this guy.

The pearlcaster and custom mockingbird reviews, interesting reading, there are some people that were lucky dealing with him I guess.

well i buy off ebay because i can get much better deals on things. i never pay even close to a new item price and i take shipping cost into consideration with it as well. i sell on ebay because lets face it, ones mans junk is another mans treasure so odd things i have lying around i can get rid of and make a few bucks. as for the ED thing, stay away from that theif at all costs!
