So now with ex PDN Bongo on it's way to fellow knucklehead Nurmay, I wanted to find a Sterling 5HH but I found that this beauty had fell through the cracks at Chuck Levin's Washington Music, they have a huge inventory and keep many instruments boxed in their storage floor. This couldn't have been on the floor much as it's pristine since I
got it today I'm ether playing it or looking at it. Even has the plastic still on the guard, perfectly seamed two piece body and it's surprisingly bright, must be the Ash body. Man I love this company.

Love me some Sterling HH5s but this guy is pretty too. Bright you say? Maybe I'll need to try one!

Which one is more aggressive, this or your Big Al ?

I haven't A/B'd it yet but top my head I'd say the SR5 but I don't have the BA 5 H anymore, that version BA would be more of a "savage beast" with the 18 volts and series H to H. But I'll have to see how the bridge and middle pickups in series on the BA SSS stack up against the SR. This SR seems to be louder than others I've had, I lowered the pickups a little on the treble side already.

Great! It looks like a twin for my one) BTW I was surprised by the weight to.

NICE!!! that neck is KILLER looking. How do the rosewood necks sound anyway? I've never played one on a guitar or a bass. Just the usual maple necks on every bolt on i've owned.

Wow, what a find! Very nice, congrats!
Thanks, I couldn't believe it was hiding there all this time, but it's dead mint with the plastic on the guard.
Paul had his guys set it up, oil the neck and throw some new Slinky's on and it's all good.

Thanks, generally speaking all Rosewood necks are warmer than maple. Though this one is brighter than the previous rosewoods I've had. The feel of the neck is very different than Maple, especially with the MM wax finish. It's like it's already well broken in from the get go. I guess from being a softer wood.
