I purchased this beautiful 4 String Dual Humbucker Desert Gold Bongo w/ Tort guard about 3 or 4 months ago and it is LIKE NEW. If you're interested - shoot me a reasonable offer and it's yours. Buyer pays for shipping. I have purchased and sold items on the forum here and folks can vouch for my credibility - also check out my 100% positive ebay feedback (neutrino81).

I had a car accident that has left me unable to enjoy one of my passions - playing music.

Hey, I wondered where you went. What happened? If you don't want to get into it, I'll understand, but we missed you.

Jack

very sorry to hear about the accident, thanks for checking in though and letting us know. sorry to sound like a Hallmark card but sincerely all the best to you in this time and through it as well.

I have some bad news. I used to frequent this forum quite a bit, but that abruptly stopped about a month ago. I had a car accident that has left me unable to enjoy one of my passions - playing music.

I'm sorry to hear that.

Without knowing the details, I can only say that after an accident, Dave Mustaine was told that he'd never be able to play, again, and he has since released an album and seems to have recovered the ability to play. I can only hope that you will be able to one day resume what we all come to this forum for, in the first place---music.

If it's not possible to resume playing bass, you could always look into computer and midi based music, a la Jason Becker. He was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis in 1989, given 3-5 years to live, and released an album of music in 2001. He's still going on after 17 years. So, there are always options, even if they aren't quite the ones you want.

Good luck!

And after all that research and hard work to buy a killer rig! What type of injury do you sustain? It must be very serious if you know after just one month that you are unable to play bass ever again

OzM, "ever again" is your words, not neutrino's. Although his openning post might mean that, I hope not.

Neutino, I feel like I'm using Oz to speak to you indirectly. I'm a klutz about this stuff you know. [sniffs]

That is bad news indeed.
I hope you 'll recover, not being able to play music anymore sounds awfull. I wish the best for you!

My prayers to you. I was also suddenly afflicted with a medical condition that was...well...life threatning...but am ok now....God's speed to you, (and I'm NOT a bible thumper)...hope you return to full activity.

I hate to sound cliche, but mean this. I really hope the best for you. Prayers go out to you, and hope youll keep us updated on your condition.

Hey man, I'm truly sorry to hear that; I don't know how I'd take it if it were me.

Good Luck to you!
James

Thank you all. People just cope different ways, I just can't stand to look at all my instruments any more -

any interest in my bass?

If it still available, you're more than welcome to it.

Anyone else interested?

Sorry to hear of your misfortune.

Good luck for the future.

Hope you sell that beautiful bongo!

I would just to help you out, but

1) I really don't need another bass (read: It would be impossible to justify to the wife).
2) I just spent a pile of money upgrading amplification and purchasing a Stick (see (1) above).
3) I'm a 5-string guy.

Dude, sorry to hear. Good luck with the sale. Hopefully you can get back into it at some point :(
