Hi peeps,

I'm a bit sore at having to do this but what with the Silo I just got and me now wanting a Bongo or Sterling I'm gonna have to sell my hardtail H/H SUB1.Its near mint,couple of small marks.I bought a black single ply pickguard for it,which is on the guitar at the mo.I also still have the original diamondplate job.
It's in a gigbag and will be well packed.
I'm wanting £275.00 + £20.00 shipping by next day courier.This shipping price is for mainland UK.

Not interested I'm afraid as I have a very similar SUB, but wherabouts did you pick up your pickguard from?

I've never played a Sub - how is the neck compared to your Axis, and how's the sound?

Starsky,I've just A/B'd the neck with my Silo and they feel the same in shape.just a regular slighly clubby half round musicman shape- the fretting and nice thick chunk of rosewood could be off a full blown ebmm(and prolly is - y'see MM get the important things right!:) ).
The pups are a bit mid sounding to my ears compared to the axis.not as open sounding or detailed in bottom and top end.but they drive well and chime nicely on clean chords.
the intonation and action on these subs is gr8 - very precise and for me thats what lifts them way above a lot of the competition in their price bracket.they're also rock solid - a real dependable,take anywhere working guitar.
I'd love to keep it but I'm thinking that both this and my SUB bass will finance the guts of a Bongo or Sterling and I so want one of those.otherwise they'd be stopping with me.

If we're to keep this guitar in scotland I'd be prepared to travel as far as Stirling to keep it out the hands of a 3rd party - now i cant say fairer than that can I?

Yeah, the necks on my SUB/Silo are very comparable. Don't forget the painted neck on the SUB though. Doesn't have the EBMM oil&wax treatment but a great neck nonetheless. Isn't sticky under stage pressures (i.e. sweat) unlike a friends laquered Schecter I've used on stage a couple of times.
 
I'm tempted, I really am, but I'm gonna have to pass at the moment unfortunately. I need to sell a few of my own guitars first that are now gathering dust since becoming an EBMM convert. :o

Your Sub will be a great buy for someone Komp, hope you find a good home for it.

When I got the Luke I was saying to my wife (who is amazingly supportive of my purchases by the way) 'it's a fantastic guitar and will do me for years to come, and the prices in the USA (where I was working at the time) are amazing. No need to get any more guitars, that's it!'.

Got back to Scotland again and around two months later my Axis arrives at the door...

Komp my luke deal may well be going south, my seller has got some serious issues- like posting it over that big swimming pool!
