giddy lee

So "Giddy" is the overly exuberant younger sibling of that helium-voiced guy who plays with the pompous hoser band?

well, "Geddy" Lees bass is acutally pretty nice. the sound is decent but the best thing about it is the feal. the neck is really nice and so is the body. you should try it out

by the way, has anyone ever seen a stu hamm fender bass at a store?

Hoser!?!?! Easy now Tex, but good call on the Canadiana , eh! I do like some of the tunes but Geddy's voice has always been the thing that's held me back from liking my Canadian brethren.
And Jubey, get the Sterling SUB.

ok or
ill try to get a stingray
the problem is that i can make payments on a SUB
and if i get a used stingray i cant

Wow, I could really run away with this one, but I'll stick to the question at hand....

The Geddy Lee Jazz bass is, as previously described, very nice to play. The neck is a bit narrower than a standard Fender Jazz which makes getting around on the fretboard pleasantly easy. Sound is OK. Personally I think Wal should have made a custom bass after him. I always liked the sound he got out of that thing. Then again, had he only picked up a MM, he would have never gone to Fender.....ha.

I wonder if he's tried the Bongo yet.....hmmmm.

Once you go Bongo, you never go back.

If you like the Sterling sound then go with it.But the Geddy Lee signature bass, tonally sounds better IMO.

Thanks for the wallpaper photo Jack! It's making me get fairly anxious about my Bongo..... a month away!!!!!!!!!!! arghh!!!! plus there might be an added twist to my Bongo, but I'll tell y'all when I get it.
BTW, how much of a difference do you notice with the compensated nut?? (proper term?) Does improve intonation when chording up top?

The compensated nut does make a difference, although it took me a while to notice it. You'll probably notice it on the first five frets most of all - nice touch, really.

do u guys no where to get a bass profesionally painted?
i was wondering because if i paint this bongo or stingray like flake orange with abalone pickgaurd and cobalt hardware.
wich reminds me, do u guys no any place to get custom color hardware?

About Geddy...I think it was Butthead who said about Geddy "That's the ugliest chick I've ever seen" Might have been Beavis..I'm old and forgetful.
