I think ladies is ladies, basses is basses, and calendars is calendars.

Another concern is that "Ernie Ball instruments" would include guitars. On certain months [february frinstintz, hhehh heh...] you got to look at your enemy hung strategically on some lady who would surely look better without it.

BTW, Ms Diva gave me a 16mo calendar at xmas, and it's all teddy bears. Maybe she's telling me to grow up? I aint ready for that, cuz I already know what I wanna be if and when I grow up: _dead_.

But anyway Ric, oooopps, I mean Ballz, thanks for the idea. I will paste pix of basses on the bears, and maybe some lingerie, and smiles and blue eyes and finally hang up that stoopid bears calendar. Grow up? Later maybe. Waaayyy later.

Seriously, I'd really like a calendar with endorsers and special instruments, but not instruments held by ladies (except for endorsers of course).
Ok and for december Big Pobba dressed as santa, carrying a bag full of instruments

Beth does do a ton, and deserves more respect.

In general terms, this is something BP and I have talked about more than once.

I am loathe to censor. I hate deleting or closing threads. I spent twenty years plus defending our right to say what we damned well please. It's important to me.

But - and I don't much care if anyone thinks I'm a sycophant - BP is exactly right, and it's time to talk about how we go forward on this.

For the greater good, as it were. I'm a bigger perv than any of you, but let's remember this forum is for bass. I can point you to the Perv Forums if you like.

So! You guys are pretty good at self-policing. I am sure you understand now what is okay and what is not. You don't have to analyze every slightly non-PC post you make, but just show some restraint - and definitely some respect to Beth - and we'll be okay.

Being new to the board, and not knowing any of the characters here, I'm always hoping to see what the people behind the posts look like, so I was really very pleased to see a photo of Beth for the first time.

And for the record .. IMO .. the only girls who should be holding guitars in any promo materia, calendar or otherwise,l are those who can play them ... at least then the guitars will look as though they're being played and not just hung on a fleshy guitar holder ...
