At long last she is complete. At 10pm last night she drove off into the moonlight and on her way to LAX for a trip over the pond. What a journey it was, and worth every minute....

looks good. i was a little off on the whole global warming thing as i think its all bs and bp explained it was a tongue in cheek kinda thing. the guitar is really cool looking. the necks board looks alot wider then most ebmm's. was this to fit all the writing on it?

And for those of you who might be interested, here is a photo "evolution" of
the Nigel Tufnel "Global Warming" guitar!

Here's the body, after the first engraving:

Unfortunately, due to the team staying extra late to get
the body ready for painting overnight, we didn't get any
body prep shots, but here's the body after the first paint run:
gwg-002.jpg

All shined up, with matching pickups...that's some beautiful work:
gwg-004.jpg

You can see the detailed work Dudley put into making the
thermometer work - here's a shot of the back electronics:
gwg-005.jpg

And the finished front of the thermometer:
gwg-006.jpg

Doesn't everyone have their very own Blockberry?!
gwg-007.jpg

Here's Nigel's communication compartment installed:
gwg-008.jpg

Custom flames, engraved MM logo and the Tuf Temp logo:
gwg-009.jpg

Here's our very own Sin, the man responsible for that beautiful paintjob:
gwg-010.jpg

Who could ask for a better bird's eye view?
gwg-011.jpg

The guts, the true "behind the scenes!":
gwg-012.jpg

Our first glimpse of the Al Gore snowglobe, the iceflow and pyramid knobs
and the world monument switches:

Al Gore in Hawai'i with his Presidential Seal!

The awesome effect of the snow, in the Al Gore snow globe!

Dudley testing and fine tuning, making sure everything is ready for Nigel:

A few of us were lucky to be there on the final day of many long days.
At 10 o'clock at night, the guitar was finished! What a proud moment!

Top row: Dudley and Clint (engineers)
Bottom row: Namu (graphic designer), Jon (engineer) and Tomas (scheduling)

And here it is, the global warming guitar in all it's glory:

Many people worked hard to make this guitar happen - but hey, that's
par for the course at Ernie Ball/MusicMan, where we love what we do
and it shows in the quality of our work! It was a pleasure working on
such a great project!

Much props to Big Poppa, Dudley, Jon, Clint, Sin, myself and everyone
else involved in the creation of this beautiful piece of art!

Wow, looks like a lot of work went into the making of that guitar. It's the most unique guitar I've ever seen AND it's an Ernie Ball! Good job guys! The stray iceberg is my favorite part. Haha.

I definitely pictured the Presidential Seal as being less of a marine mammal and more of a logo.

That thing just kills. It kills more than a robot programmed to kill.

Fabulous work!

Jack

PS: Sin does the best flames in the business. Hi, Sin! My flames rock, too!
