Going to listen to Luke for the first time!

I've always like Toto's 'Hydra' album, but I guess it all depends on what Luke you want to hear.

Come to think of it, I'm going to order a copy now. :D

10/19: Got a copy on the way to me now. ;)

It's Luke, you can't go wrong with any of it, but l'd recemmend Candyman, or Luke. If Toto Kingdom Of Desire and tambu.

But it's all good,

Scott.

DEFINITLY these 4 CDs...... They run the gamut from Heavy to Pop to Straight up rock

"Tambu" is a VERY overlooked CD that is just a Beautiful Album beginning to end....

"KOD", the heaviest Toto EVER got.... The guitar tones are Incredible the playing is second to none. Its hard to believe that these CDs were release one after another, with Luke realeasing "Candyman" between them and "Luke" after Tambu... The musical progreassion is pretty cool from these 4 CDs alone!

It doesn't hurt that "KOD" and Tambu were the 2 Toto CDs where Luke was the Lead singer :)

As far as "Candyman" goes.... IF you have the means to play it Get the 5.1 Version!!!!!
It sounds 1000 times better than the original...... I heard parts on the 5.1 that I never heard before. It is SUCH a dense record it takes a 5.1 mix to do it Justice.

I stilll have to pick up the 5.1 version of Candyman.

IMHO, Luke is the best singer Toto has ever had, no offence to the other singers (Bobby, Joe and Dave) they are fantastic singers, but Luke sounds great.

Scott.

I've forgotten to add "The Seventh One" one of my fav', great melodies and superbs guitars parts.
And my all time favorite Toto singer : Joseph Williams ;) .

Actually, yeah I love the Seventh One as well... but it was a VERY specific time period for Toto... VERY Pop... GREAT though.
Joseph Williams is my Second Favorite lead singer for Toto....
Luke is my favorite... I remember when he took over as Lead Vocalist I was SO Thrilled... I was actually bummed when he "gave up" the Lead Vocal "chair"
Thats just my preference, I am sure Somewhere out there, there's Someone who would LOVE to have Jean Michel Byron back in the band..... :D

Oh yeah, Joseph Williams is on a track on the Upcoming Toto CD!!!! THAT will be VERY Cool!

YES !!! Joseph and Luke will sing a song together ... on this new Toto album's

Have to add Isolation to the list as well. Despite Fergie's high pitched shouting, it's a great album wit hsome superb guitar playing and one of the strongest track listings. And has anyone mentioned Carlton/Lukather: Live in Osaka? Just sublime.
