I found this site today. Very informative with videos, tab and good writing. Gets into theory, technique and licks. Has tools you can download to track your progress and what not. The one video, Hopscotch was really cool and helped me learn the pentatonics all kinds of ways. Check it out.

ShredAcademy Redirecting....

Hope this helps anyone who may need it....like me! :D

Nice find - thanks for sharing. There's so many bad sites around, it's nice when you stumble on a gem

Good to know you've decided to get back to guitar playing and give up bass. :p

LOL...well...I have not given up the bass...still play that in my band.

Guitar wise, I just decided I wanted to dedicate my time to it. I have so many ideas and I am looking at putting out an instrumental next year some time. Seriously, I must have spent 7 hours a day practicing....no noodling...just honing in on scales and theory stuff.

Colin...I am doing fine. Things are starting to look up for me....how you doing bro?

Glad that site is useful to you peeps!

OT - Hopscotch video @ Shred Academy

...the Hopscotch video was done by my instructor in Boise, Id, Joe Cefalu - that guy can REALLY PLAY; He's a Strat man (thus the website, stratcat.net), and he is absolutely amazing in his range, from blues to speed-shredding - Boise is pretty d*mn lucky to have someone of his talent instructing here! :D:D

The first time I showed up for a lesson with my JP6, he gave it a run-through - and absolutely blew me away - I asked him why he played only Strats / Strat-like guitars, he apparently used to play "others" (I am assuming he meant Ibanez?), and he said he gave them up as there were many people better on those types of guitars than he was - not sure I'm buying that!

He competed in last year's Guitar Hero, check him out....
