So I've had my LE Stingray 4 HH since September now, but I have only one real problem.
My Problem is that I have this terrible g.a.s for a six stringer. Now I also love Bongos and probably should have gone with a Bongo to start, so the whole Bongo 6 makes sense.
Now here is the real problem. I LOVE my bass, but my hand does cramp up on the small neck. My hands are pretty big and are way more comfortable on a 5 or six string neck. I really like the way next year's LE color could turn out, but my favorite color is blue, and blue dawn just makes me giggle each time I see it. If I sold my 07 LE and went for a Bongo 6, should I go with a Carbon Blue, or go for the LE "Stankyburst", mostly because A. My school colors are gold and brown, and B. I'm a big sucker for Gold Hardware.
Now I usually leave my 'Ray in HH mode, but I do like the Single coil modes, and the ubiquitous bridge bucker solo sound. Now I know that the HH and HS Bongos have their bridge humbuckers located closer to the bridge then the Stingray, and that the single H is in the right place.
So my question is how well can the dual pickup Bongos make the Single bucker stingray sound? If I do decide to sell my bass and pick up a Bongo 6, then I am going for the piezo option, so either way I will be getting the 4 band eq.
Please help me!
