graphite replacement necks?

Since I'm getting my SUB soon, I'm wandering about getting a graphite neck to it. Why you may ask? Because I can.

What effect do they have on the sound? Status or Moses? Etc?

With the $ it would take to buy a S.U.B. and a new neck, you could buy any one of our top of the line basses...just wondering why you wouldn't do that. IMO it would be a better instrument.
