Name's Jon. I've owned three EB basses in the past: One SR5, black, rosewood, tort, got it for my seventeenth birthday; One Stingray fretless, defretted maple board and a mirror guard: and an SR5 fretless. The last bass is this one which I traded away to Jack in a fit of misguided wanderlust. Since then I've messed around with plastic necked multistringed wankomatic basses and four string passive basses. But I keep longing for that MM sound. So, when I can actually afford it, I'll be getting another.

I'm looking forward to hearing the dual pickup 'Rays. Dear lord those things are going to be frightening.

Thank you, everybody. It's gonna be a while. Until then I'll just live vicariously through everybody here.

Jack has a tire kick e-mail from me. Although why I'd give him money after he robbed me like he did, I have no idea. :p

Hey Jonny, you might want to resend me that email. I've been out of touch for 2 weeks plus and it may have been misplaced....let me know.

indeed . I can't wait to try one out.

welcome , Jon.

I'm reserving my judgement on the Bongo until I hear one through my amp. So far they just haven't grabbed me like the 'Rays do.

I've gotta say that the Single H that BP was playing in those clips from the open house has that Ripoffyourarmandbeatyouwithit tone that I love. Smallequestrian needs to post clips of that fretless of his just so I can rule it out.... Or torture myself. Either way.

But first I've got to welcome a second child, finish school and get a full time job.

Treat yourself to a new bass as a way of celebrating the birth of your child. Hey, a good celebration is always right, and you can just claim it's another investment for the future.

I have good news and bad news, Jon.

The good news is that I have one of those sitting on my lap right here, right now, and it sounds just like that mighty tone on the single H in the video clips.

Now, would you like a donut?

Welcome to yet another form of bass torture Jon.

I think the guys with the most basses here have them cuz they no longer get the chance to make the babies. :D :D
