Guitar neck question

if i have a neck that is gonna be off the guitar for awhile do i need to loosen the truss rod up or tighten it or do anything at all with it. thanks

i would completely losen up the truss rod........then retighten it just a tiny bit ..so that the neck is held in it's natural shape . store it where it's not exposed to prolonged heat or humidity.
