As many times as I visit the Ernie Ball website, I can't believe I just noticed yesterday that there was a forum!!! :o To make matters worse, apparently I registered back in 2002 but don't remember doing that! I must be losing my mind.

Anyway, I have been a big fan of EBMM guitars since the mid-nineties. While looking for a "Strat type" guitar, I happened to play an EVH model. While it didn't have the features I was looking for, I fell in love with the neck and workmanship.

I ended up getting a Luke I. I now have a 1999 Luke II and a 1994 pinkburst Albert Lee. I love these guitars and never find myself looking at or playing other guitars (electric that is). The only thing I would like is another Albert Lee!

Other guitars include Breedlove, Takamine, and Alvarez acoustics, and a 1978 goldtop Les Paul Standard. The rest of my gear includes Rivera and Victoria amps, a THD speaker cabinet, and lots of pedals.

Everybody here knows what a great company EBMM is but I must give kudos to Jon, Derrick, and Ryan for the excellent service that I always receive. I know this is nothing new to anyone on this forum.

So, I am glad to have found this place and look forward to more discussions about my favorite guitars.

Unfortunately, I don't have a digital camera. I'll borrow one and put up some pics. I promise ;)

Welcome Terry!

This is definitely a forum full of enthusiasts. We like to talk guitars, gear, and just generally poke fun at each other with no harm intended. It's a fun group here, really.

They make great stuff...I have a GRAMMA and it is awesome

Thanks for the kind words Jon.

Yes, I work for Auralex. I won't be here to promote our products however unless someone asks about them. I am here because I love EBMM guitars.

I will say that Auralex is a sponsor for the EBMM Battle of the Bands for the 2nd year. It is wonderful to partner with such a great company.

Haha Terry! I love Auralex stuff...unfortunately since I don't have a permanent residence (ie. I own it), I don't have any on the walls in the studio...

Hey Terry,

Welcome to the forum! Looking forward to reading your future posts. And seeing your mighty arsenal. :D

Welcome Terry,

I'm a fellow Luke lover 2, l have 2 of them myself.

What Rivera Amp did you have? i was looking at getting one a while ago, but couldn't afford it.

Anyway, we all demand pics of your guitars, well gear anyway, so if you don't have a digital camera, you had better go buy one, hehe.

Hope to chat to you later.

Scott.

I am glad to hear that you like our products. I definitely understand the challenges of acoustically treating a space you do not own. However, most acoustical treatment (not just Auralex) can be installed temporarily using finishing nails, velrco, fast-tack adhesive, etc. If you need isolation (soundproofing), then you are pretty much out of luck unless you own (or if you are lucky to have a landlord who has no problem with you adding new walls)!!

Hey everyone,

Thanks very much for the warm welcome! I found a couple of digital pictures of my Luke but they are too large. I tried compressing them but they were still too big. So, I guess the pictures will have to wait until I can get a digital camera.

Being around here is has already been bad for me - I love my pinkburst Albert Lee and "Luke Blue" Luke. But seeing all the cool finishes some of you guys have has made my guitars look "plain". So, now I "just have to have" a new Egytptian Smoke Albert Lee.

Thanks a lot :D
