Help me decide....

Ok, a JPM 6 is on my list to go with my 7 and Ibanez JPM. I have a few things to get first, but I want to start my whittle process on colors now as I'll be keeping my eyes open.

Mystic Dream, Blue Pearl, and Rolls Burgandy are the three colors I'm down to.

Purple, like EB's old purple color, is my fave color in general. I like purple. LOL. This makes the Mystic Dream quite attractive to me and I've seen them in person and love the effect. But, it's still green most of the time.

Rolls Burgandy... can anyone compare this to the Mystic Dream? The color makes it hard to photograph without it looking like a non wrinkled prune. LOL.

Blue Pearl... I liiiike that color but again, how does it compare to that cool switch effect in the Mystic Dream?

I realize no one can tell me which one I'll like better. I just want to know what differetn people's experiences are.

I think that's the problem with MM's colors. They are all so nice it's hard to chose one. LOL

I personally like the Rolls Burgundy - it is a classy colour, but is nowhere near as flashy as Mystic dream. It actually looks quite vintage in appearance - I assumed wrongly that it would have some form of sparkle, but it is a matte color. It really grew on me after a day - initially I was a little disappointed, but now I love it. However, if you want a flashier finish, mystic is the way to do. Blue pearl I haven't seen in the flesh so won't comment,

I'm in agreement with jimmyp. Rolls Burgundy is not the flashiest colour, but I love it. I used to have a Silhouette Special in it- the finish looked gorgeous in the bright light.

If it were me, I'd go with either the blue (because it's less common) or the Mystic - because it's just darn cool to have a guitar's color do that! And I would probably go with the blue, becasue I like blue and because of the first reason I gave. Good luck! Any of those colors is very beautiful, though. All very rich in tone.

I think it's down to two now then... the blue and the MD. I really like the MD but the blue pics I'm seein...

How will I ever decide? LOL

At least I'm still a few months off from being able to even place an oder so I should be able to make a decision by then.

I've placed my order about 2 months ago, and I confess that the color issue was a hard decision, after checking lots of pics I chose the Blue Pearl and dont think I will regret, anyway I should get it by the end of August, what can I say? I'm lookinf forward to it! Good luck!

Colours, Colours, colours!!!! That decision has been killin me for too long. So much that I'm tempted to just walk into a store and grab the first one I see instead of custom ordering!

and to complicate things further, I don't think you should rule out Carbon Blue Pearl!

I love Mystic Dream. The main reason I didn't buy it was the extra cost.

My top 3 colors at the time were as follows:
1. Mystic Dream
It's a chameleon. That's super cool! My favorite (cost-independent)

2. Black Sparkle
Probably my first choice at the time (cost-dependent) for the fact that it was the color of the guitar LSFNY, but my friend bought one in that color--beating me to the punch. If he hadn't bought one in that color, I would have--provided I found one that felt right.

3. Pearl Redburst (another LSFNY color on the 7-string used on ACOS) was a color I'd loved dating back to the behind-the-scenes videos on the net. So, those were the top 3 colors for me.

What does this mean for you? Well, if cost isn't a consideration, I'd get Mystic Dream. I love when the light hits it just right so that you can see all the different colors.

Now, I want the Egyptian Smoke!
