Help! Might have issue with my NUT!

So on my new Silhouette, I replaced the strings to 10's. After I did all that, I looked at the nut and the Low E string is touching the end of the fretboard behind the nut. It is only the low E, but I cant slip a regular printer paper under it. Can this become an issue, or is it fine??? I just got it yesturday, but it plays just fine. I am just a very paranoid person, especailly when it comes to new things....ALL things actually. hahahahaha

Well I'm not a guitar tech but from a logic point of view this might be an issue. You will mess up that part of the fretboard after few months of tunning that string, that's obvious. But it's kinda strange that sth like that occured.....hmmm maybe I'm wrong

One add, did you notice that on 9's , before you've changed the gauge to 10's. Maybe that's the cause of that situation (higher gauge)

I've had not one, but two Axis necks and the low E contacted the neck behind the nut in both cases.
Seeing as how I use a trem, this can't be good news. I'll address it eventually..(when I've got a few bucks in my pocket )

if the guitar is staying in tune .........you are good to go......

No dive bombing here! That, I only do on the other guitar with a floyd, but JUST for fun when I am bored, hahahahaha. On the Silo I'll be doin slight vibrato sruff, that's about it. Thanks for the reply! You put my mind to rest and my playing full throtlle! Thanx , Later
