Against all of the collective better judgement of the entire team and most of the western hemishpere I am letting you in on the final beta of the new web site......

Here is what I ask.....Proof it for copy and funtionality. ANy critiques will be deleted...

I know the instrument builder is gone...had to go...I know that some of the history is off and i know in the process section it doesnt go exactly where you want to go until you click on the next pic....

THis is me taking you inside as a guest....I will be really a jerk if proper manners arent displayed.

If you like it great....if you dont it still is better than what we had....If it gets ugly we will pasword protect it until the live launce...

Get it? Now enjoy

Welcome to the Ernie Ball® Music Man® Company

I really love the '' MUSIC MAN '' theme the new website is sporting.
I think it looks awesome so far, and i really enjoy the videos of Music Man players talking about their instruments.
I especially liked the Gail Ann Dorsey video.
I am also a fan of Mark James, from Breaking Benjamin, he plays Sterlings, hopefully we'll see a video of him sometime in the future.

MY computer at work is slow, so I've only gotten through the instruments page and the process section, but I like the design and functionality of those two sections and the main page. Looks great!

Yeah, the firewall where I work has a bit over-active and is making things go slowly, but what I saw looks great. Can't wait to check it out when I get home.

First thoughts are:

The main page just showed a Nav bar and no other graphics.

When loading the instruments page, the flash images are just loading forever.

I tried clicking on the first image and it took a long time to load

I am on a T3 line here at work so speed shouldn't be an issue. Don't get me wrong, it is a HUGE improvement over the existing site, but it needs some tweaking. I know what I'm talking about because I am part owner in a website/graphic design company.

Just my 2 cents

++1

I stopped waiting for the Instruments page after 3 minutes (time taken with stop watch!).

I've been web developer for 10 years and this IMHO will not work with a wide audience. Also, the source code of the pages just containes an old fashined HTML table and flash. No text that could be indexed by search engines. This site will most probably not be found in a Google search.

Sorry! :(

Hi BP,
I think it looks great so far. To me it is "super clean" looking and that is refreshing. Once the images and such start to load faster, it will be fantastic.

I really like it a lot - so far, so good.

Great improvement. Night and Day.

So far two things of note,

The inital screen loads black, just a title bar. My assumption is that eventually there will be some sort of splash screen graphic. I sat there waiting for one to pop up. Sort of hard to tell that the page has finished loading like it is.

Checking out the Bongo 5 page, and hovering over the paint colors resulted in the pleasent surprise of pop-up instruments in that color (it would be nice if the instrument colors were of the proper model however). One thing to note, with Sapphire Black, a picture of a trans-finished BFR guitar pops up. It looks nice, but it might lead some to believe that you can order a Bongo 5 in quilted maple trans-sapphire black. Probably not quite correct.

Sterling, Brian, Scotty, Derek...I love you guys. Tyler and I are very fortunate and blessed.

It means the world to us.

The site is going to be killer, too.

Your friend always,
