I just got a new Axis and as I understand - the trem bar is supposed to "pop" in. It didnt "pop" at all and its very stiff (I prefer a loose bar that swings out of the way when you let go). I was told to open the back plate and "adjust the screw" to loosen/tighten (attached pic) but I tightened and loosened the screw on the bottom of the brass block but it didnt do anything. I loosened the screw that you get access to when pressing down on the bar but that just made the bar fall out. Please help!

The screw on the bottom helps tension the bar against the retaining spring to remove slop in the play of the bar. As gregmusi said above, you want to loosen the grub screw on the back of the block. I will say that the bar on my Axis is kinda stiff, but that's how I like it, so I haven't messed with it.
