Hey guys I just want to know if the pickups on the Luke are noisy for you guys, because I don't know whats happening in mine that everytime I play distortion I get like this kind of sound after it. IM using a PODXT I dont know if it is the Pod or the guitar but its a very strange sound. If I play a note its like all the noise of the ambience come after the sound of the guitar and then it dissapears every noise, its crazy. The only way that I could control it it's by putting a gate and I need to crank it up a lot and it change the sound that I want. EMG's doesnt suppose to be noiseless? I would thank you guys if you can help me.

My Lukes usually cooperate, though i have had to send one back on 2 occasions a year apart due to electronics issues, plays so good now I haven't played anything else for over a month (thanks Jon), and another Luke is going back to get the piezo looked at because it's making weird noises.

Helps to have the NG maxed out on Line6 when in distortion modes, I've found.
May pay to have it checked out by a local tech, or EB depending on shipping charges.

I've not had this problem with my Luke, but this sounds like a problem I had years ago with a compressor.

I've got a str@t with active pickups and I had to turn the compressor off because of a severe delay, even when I adjusted the attack levels.

Are you using the compressor on the POD?
