Hey Jack! Question about the Bongo 5er and TI flats.

I have a set of XL TI flats for a 5 string laying around. Will these work for my Bongo that I'm getting or do I need to order a set of regular length strings?

Hey Larry, I'm not sure.

I've only had one set of those (for a Lakland 55-94) and I strung through the body with them. Never tried them on a MM bass.

They might be a bit long - but that's just a guess. Sorry I couldn't be more precise!

So you use regular length strings on your 5 strings. That's what I thought. Maybe Steve would trade a set of regular length strings for a brand new set of XLs. I bought them thinking I would put them on my 55-02, but that was before I decided to get the Bongo.
