this happens when ive had a set on for like a few weeks... they are played a bit and im trying to tune it after a few whammy dives or pull and it wont hold tune... then after a couple tunes it wavers one last time and BONK, the high e goes loose, popping out of its "locking tuner"

do you think ihave a bunk tuner jon?

its still under warrenty so can you send me a replacemnt? does this happen?

also... idk if i have read the posts about this but if i did i forgot but... my high E is also touching the wood behind the nut. Is it supposed to be this way? was the string slot cut too low? if so what can we do about this?

anyways, other than that.. its a great guitar!i want a few more... I just want to get it to 100% cuz right now its like 95% hahah. thanks alot, your a dedicated guy keep up the good work.

Sounds like you could have a bad tuner. You can call customer service at 1 866 823-2255 they can arrange to send you a new tuner. As far as the string touching the wood behind the nut, don't worry it won't affect anything.

Jon,

Quicky for ya....how common is it from the factory that a bridge post is set in its downmost position (meaning i can't lower it any more), and if so...is that a bad thing?

Some quirks here and there w/ my PRB that I've addressed on my side but that seems to be one...I seriously think the guy at that shop knew nothing on setups. The strings were wound around the posts.

Late!

I have never paid much attention to how far the posts go down. I like to set them up so the bridge plate is even with the body. I wouldn't worry too much about it if it plays like it should.

P.S. I finished that Teal Pearl for JP on Thursday. It's for him to use at home now that the tour is over. All his other axes are in containers with all the other equipment.

JP's summer tour tech mentioned something about possibly heading out to setup his gear in a studio in NYC. I hear it's new album time already.....that's awesome. I'm thinking my next one will be carbon blue pearl (possibly another Silo w/ a white ice guard....hehe.)

Clarifier on my last post....the dude's I bought it from. Seems to be playing great now tho'.
