If I didn't play Neos, i'd definately be a Berg man.

But the Neos kick too much ass for me to change. :cool:
 
Larry, it was hard for me to accept that I found something better for me when I tried the Bergs. I was a big time GK fan, as you know.

Now, I just really feel like the Bergs are "it" when it comes to cabs. While my Neo212/115 stack sounded good, it just didnt thump like my HT322 does onstage.

I'm not a big fan of matching up different speaker configs. together.There are too many variables like different power handling ratings, different SPL ratings and possible phasing issues.I think you would have had a different experience with two Neo 2x12's instead of the 1x15, 2x12 setup. There's something about those 4x12's pumping out the bass together that just.....Kills:p (Right Travis?) But you gotta find what's right for you and if the Berg does it for you than more power to you. I'm still waiting for a review of that Hartke 2x15........
 
Well, you were present for a cowpilot show in which I used one little tiny Ampeg 4-10 cabinet. Which, I might add, fits in the trunk of my Honda Accord.

Did it suck?

I believe there's video proof somewhere that the Ampeg 4x10 didn't suck.

Of course my Ampeg is a B-15R, which I believe outweighs your 4x10. It certainly feels like it. I had been in the market for some Bergies when I bought (stole is more like it) the EA VL110s. Cleaned the B-15R out of the same garage.

At the end of the night, there's no substitute for light gear... or roadies.

You know, Randy, the Hartke 215 didn't sound too bad at all. Of course, it didn't come close to the Schroeder I was playing before or the GKs I played after. It sounded best when I plugged my GBE400 into it in rehearsal on night just before I got my GB cab. It was a lot tighter and punchier than I expected it to be. Of course, I played Hartke XLs for quit a while so it had a quality that I was familiar with.
