So I just got an email from Steve wanting more money cuz my HH Sterling is done. Woo hoo. So I guess Steve got word from Mr Dargin that its ready and is shipping over to AZ pretty soon :)

SWEET!

So I figure I'll have it in my hands in about 10 days (just to be a bit conservative)

I'm sure Steve will post some pics of him molesting it when it gets to him, then once I get it ill have a full update

Thanks guys!

My HH is ready too! Dude, you have paypal! It's a good thing too, cause I just sold my F*nder, and was prepared to be w/o a bass for a month. Woohoo!

Oh, we all suck.

Which is why it's so fortunate that The Flying Spaghetti Monster saw fit to give us this place to hang together.

Woo-hoo! Sterling HHs for everyone!

Well, not everyone.

sweet man.

needless to say... I think it is needless atleast...

I expect a complete HH vs HS review when you have received it :).

P.S. How much output does the S on your sterling have? Do positions 3,4,5 compare at all with your stingray? Might as well get a feeler question going :)

Please do a report. I love J pups but I'd like to know about the extra tones.

honestly the S by itself (pos. 5) is quieter than the other positions.

its actually kinda hard to compare the HH Ray vs the HS Sterling for no other reason than the strings on the HS are still new and i played the crap out of the strings on the HH SR4.

Ill restring them all when the HH Sterling gets here and put aside a few hours of a weekend to get some good info and sound clips for u guys

Personally I think position 4 on the HS Sterling (J type of config) sound better than both the J type configs on the HH SR4. BUT IMHO both of them sound better than a USA Jazz does.

I dont have a J any more so this isnt from direct comparison. My opinion is based on the fact that with the HS Sterling and the HH Ray ive had those "f**k ya, thats the tone i love" moments but never had that with the J. Honestly the only reason I ever got a J was b/c i play punk and its one of the "defacto" basses for that style of music. so i went with the flow ... but the water was too cold for this duckk, so i got out ;)

Id say that the HS Sterling with all PUPs going is my fav position (tone) between the HH Ray and teh HS Sterling. next would be the S solo on the HS Sterling ...
