Hi, I was just wondering whether anyone here had experience using a hipshot bass extender on the E-String of a stingray 5? As in, any compatibility issues, problems with installing etc...

thanks,

I'm possibly missing something here. Why would you install a hipshot on the E string of a bass that has a B string?

Yeah, really, I wuz think'n the same thing. it wouldn't fit anyhow with a key to the right of it?

I would think that the nut spacing would be too big for the E-string to fit in the B-String slot, that is if you are tuning e-a-d-g-c, and would rattle too much. I used to have a Carvin 6-String and put a Hipshot on it.....LOW LOW LOW note but not worth it. Didn't use it enough. Other than that, it should fit just like it would on a 4 string.....
