Far be it for me to preach against selling for GAS, but hang onto that Ray unless you've truly tired of it.

Don't even think about letting go of that 'Ray!

If it sounds as good as it looks, you'll regret the sale for the rest of your life, regardless whether the new bass fits you or not.

Two reasons not to sell:

1)Black sparkle

2)Birdseye flamed maple neck

Enough said.

Many in here would kill for that bass of yours do you know that? *looks at self on the mirror :p*

I'm a huge Bongo fan. That said, that 'Ray is BE-YOO-TI-FULLLL. Keep it. You'd have a tough time replacing it. Then order the Bongo when you save up some $$. 'Cause you know you need it. Just not at THAT price.

priorities, priorities

Keep the Ray, play it 'til a sweet young thing falls in love with you and buys you the BONGO of your dreams, then dump the sweet young thing but always keep the sparkler with the fancy neck , them are way harder to come by than tthe other things of life and love;)
good luck,
ATB,

That's what I think too. When a bass is gone, well... it's gone.

On one hand, I agree with that. On the other hand, though, when every single EBMM you try has characteristics of its own that you inevitably love ... there's nothing to "fear". Since for financial reasons, I'm not one to amass a collection of more than a couple of basses at a time, I wouldn't have gotten to experience the unique things I love about the basses I have now, if I'd become too attached to any of the ones I had previously - though of course I LOVED them too. Just another perspective.

maybe you're all right...
I can't let go the sparkle babe...:(
i will not find another one like this in the future...
In starting to save and sell a few things...a Status Energy 4, an Ash cab...
I'm also thinking about selling the Little mark head (the yellow one, first series) although it sound awesome and buy an F1 instead, (questions of portability)

thank you so much guys...you helped me fighting the bad beast of damned GAS...

no no no no...I can't let go this neck...It looks gorgeous even in B&W
