How often do you gig?

Just curious to see how often you fellow forumites gig. Currently I do 3 or 4 gigs a week. I have a noisy rock jam on a Thursday, and acoustic sing a long jam type thing on a Sunday, and normally regular band gigs on a Friday and Saturday.

How busy is everyone?

Same here twice a Month Max,with an 11 year old Daughter and a full time Day Job its tough to make the time these days.

I gig about 3 or 4 times per year... by choice. Between running after kids, careers, and many other demands on my time, that's all I can swing. (A few years ago I would have refused even the 3 or 4 gigs per year.)

It varies a lot.

Anywhere from 0 times a month to 9 times in three weeks (did that last month).

Primarily though we only play primetime on weekends unless we're opening for a larger band or national that's passing through town. Most of those end up being weekend gigs, so it limits how often you can play.

Quality over quantity for me, though.

3-6 times a week or where I would have to play guitar full time because playing guitar makes me happy.

I currently play 4-6 times a month. These are all paying gigs. I'm getting ready to start some duo acoustic gifs & may have the oportunity to sit in with a local group when I'm not busy with my first gig.

A full-time guitarist... I gig on a average 5 to seven times a week (not counting steady studio work up and down the Central Coast). Play in three bands... do a solo jazz act... have a jazz duet and am a hired gun ... often on a Saturday or a Sunday I'll do a double-header (back to back gigs...)

That being said... take guitar out of my life and I'm somewhat helpless when it comes to survival skills...
