I use Apple's GraphicConverter which came preloaded on my machine. It seems kind of grainy. Good 'nuf or should I go work on it some more?

PhotoShop, but any graphics program works

I use Windows Paint to shrink mine.

No. no. NOPE. Not OK. Looks just like my HH and I absoludly haight that PG.

I use the GIMP to make some of my avatars.
Better than the basics but hardly Photoshop.

You could try using it-I think the results would be a lot better.
