I have an HS Stingray which I love, but it's one of few HS models in Buttercream, so it's not going to be leaving the house much. I was wondering if the sounds that are available with an HS Sterling are similar to the Stingray. Positions 3 &4 on the Stingray are the ones that are most important, but I think all positions are useful. How do these 2 instruments compare - should I buy a Sterling or another Stingray?

I ask this because although I manage fine, the Stingray neck is a little bit large, and I think that I'd prefer the Sterling neck. If I could buy a Stingray with a Sterling neck, I would. I play Bongos 99% of the time, but would like to have an alternative.
