Now that I have my Sterling, I find myself spec'ing out an SR5 and even a fretless. Not that I can afford it, but it's fun to think about. For the SR5, I possibly like a Natural or Honey Burst finish, Tort pg, and Maple 'board. Then, instead, I consider an SR5 "twin" for my Sterling (identical specs), although I could get a different color like Trans Red or Trans Teal.

I'm undecided on a fretless except that I'd like it lined, but I'd definitely like to get one someday.

Of course, my Fender Deluxe V is actually a pretty nice bass, and it sounds good with the Barts and BTB-01 preamp. Perhaps a fretless will be next for me...some year...

:o :D

I do that all the time, almost everyday. I've been specing out a HH Ray since they were announced as well as a SR5 in case I ever join a band that needs a 5 string.
