I got a string question

Ok so I put new strings on my guitar today. I was using 9's but switched to 10s. I got them on but when I went to tune to the string the high and low E both snapped. Anyone got any suggestions as to what to do? I'm thinking I'm going to just stick with my 9s for now.

installation is exactly the same on 9's & 10's.
u shouldn't have any problems whats so ever. if anything..9's would snap sooner than 10's. very strange & not the norm.
how long u been playin ?????
