i hope this doesn't offend anyone, but i kept looking at my black pick guard and decided it needed something. so i painted cartman on it with testors model paints,then clear coated it with poly.

If you want something a little more classy, white pearloid. Personaly id try to pick up a clear pickguard or stay with black.

It's good that the paint is only on the pickguard. I'd humbly suggest getting a replacement now, and storing it, so that the bass can be returned to its original appearance later on.

Why? Well, Cartman is cool today.

In five or ten years? Maybe not so much. Pop culture icons are like that.

Consider the guitarists who went and painted their Stratocasters to look just like Eddie Van Halen's back in the 80s. Looks plain stupid today. Had they left them alone, those guitars would still look good.

Fads come and go. Understated, timeless designs endure and are always cool.
 
I think you did a great job. I also think Cartman is hilarious, so all in all it's awesome.

Maybe paint a cheesy poof or two so he has something to eat? ;)
