What an amazing night for me! I met one of my guitar gods and his super talented and beautiful bass player! GC had a clinic sponsored by Electro Voice, great atmosphere and great songs from the new CD, such down to earth virtuoso musicians...truly inspiring. And to top it off I won the raffle for a wireless guitar EV system! The same one the pros use!. I had trouble sleeping cause I was so excited.

Big Poppa, why does Travis not have a signature guitar????!!!!! Hello, he's from your neck of the woods!!! Just seeing him play made me wanna buy another MM.
 
Cool. I met them at the 2010 SXSW and they invited me to hang with them for the afternoon. Really nice and gracious hosts for the day.
 
I've been big fans of theirs for several years - but they rarely tour here in the cornfields.

Travis plays a BFR, but he's the closest thing I've ever heard to "the second coming of Steve Morse" (who he readily admits is his #1 inspiration).

Caught them at the Sweetwater with Petrucci a couple months ago - have four signatures on my BFR now - Petrucci, Big Poppa, Travis & Jennifer.

Mystery to me why Travis & Jen aren't *huge* stars in the guitar/instrumental/prog-rock genre? :confused:

Yep, Travis is a fantastic guitar player. I would assume he doesn't have his own sig guitar due to the fact that BP already has a pretty good stable of signatories as we speak.
 
I got a chance to chat with them before the Sweetwater clinic.

There were lots of people walking around a huge "commons" area a couple hours before the presentation and I spotted them and started a conversation. Both appeared surprised they were recognized.
