Another SR5. I sold off my 2 Fernandes basses and my axe is really lonely. Got 2 wall hangers and only one is being used. If anybody hears of a used SR5 for sale, let me know please. Preferablly one with a rosewood board to compliment my maple SR5. You guys rock. :D

These guys are the local upfront shop, musician owned. They do face to face and internet. I've spent zillions there, no problems. Tell em Golem sent ya. BTW, the linked ax is classic: Rosewood, Burst, Torty. $900 with HSC. Oh, and in the index page, it's under 'E' for Ernie Ball [not 'M' for MusicMan].

Not speaking for anyone else, but even fully identical twin basses is an opportunity to play two very different string sets, plus it provides a backup [not like an EB will crumble in your hands of course]. Those two benefits alone are often enough to justify a twin ax. Whether your ax is a $300 sound gear, a $1000 EB or even beyond that, different players operate at different $$ comfort zones. It's not so different than when my friend can't figger why I don't sell off a closet full of Ho's and replace them with a single $2000 premium bass.

I certainly understand the use of a backup bass... i just wish i had the funds he does i guess ;) I just wouldnt buy somethnig THAT similiar, but then again, im not him.


Maybe he could throw some flats on one ;)
 
Exactly. I can try out different things stringwise and actionwise. Plus, a solid backup wouldn't hurt.

Another thing, I found a autumn redburst SR5 w/ rosewood for $750. It's got about a dime size ding on the left side. Would you guys go for it or do you think it's not worth it?:confused:
